Half the software I use daily could be a static page with a sprinkle of JavaScript. We reach for frameworks before we reach for the platform. Change my mind.

Counterpoint: the moment you need offline support, real-time sync, and a shared component library across three teams, the "just an HTML page" dream gets expensive fast. But for 80% of CRUD apps? You're right.
